The MODERN ARMOR Series.

MODERN ARMOR: A Visual Survey of the next War’s Land Vehicles is the first in a series of books being published in 2026 and 2027.

The second book, COMBAT AVIATION: A Visual Survey of Tactical Air Systems is about 85% drafted and scheduled for publication in September, 2026.

The release of the third book, with the Working Title EXPEDITIONARY FORCES, is tentatively scheduled for release in December 2026. EX FORCES will focus on the Airborne, Special Operations and Marine Forces that would mostly likely  see engagement in first stages of a modern war.

The 2027 Book Series is very much in its preliminary stages. Which book will be first will be based on Reader Interest/Surveys:

2027 Series may (emphasise the word may) contain these titles:

  • STRAT WAR – a look at the planning and opening stages of Modern Conflict – focused on the actions a Major Power must (or at least should) undertake before a war begins. This includes Intelligence Collection, Strategic Assessments, Geophysical and other Surveys, Gaming and Operational and Logistics Planning functions that must be completed by a Joint Military Command to ensure success in modern war.
  • SPACE WAR – a look at modern military satellite systems that serve as an invisible backbone of modern warfare, from Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems to Communications, Navigation, and Early Warning platforms.
  • War Zones – a look at current and potential conflict zones around the world. Basically where the next war might start, and  the regional force structures and systems that might be involved.
  • Arsenal Ship – a look at modern Naval Warfare Undersea, Surface and Air environments with emphasis on Unmanned Robotic Vehicle Technology that may be used in the next sea war.

What do all these titles have in common?  All are intended to be primers of sorts on modern military operations and technology. Their intended audience is people interested in military affairs, technology and history and gamers and modelers looking for more info on specific machines and platforms. And unlike Web Sites and Videos,  they are a book series – created  in the belief that there is still an audience for old fashion hardcopy that can be taken with the reader and used as a quick reference guide.

The final point worth mentioning in this first blog post is that your opinion as the reader matters most. So please give us your opinions and feedback.  Tell us what you liked and didn’t like, the Good, the Bad, the just plain wrong and the In Between.  Share your comments on what you want to see. All feedback is good (but the more detailed the feedback the more useful it can be).

Writers are like ships, aircraft or tanks.  If they are not taking hits (criticism) then they are probably not in the fight and need to move in, get closer and try harder.

Without the reader there is no need for the writer.
